Deep Fry a Hot Pocket
/Dan Carlin's Hardcore History podcast tells exciting and detailed military history stories about everything from Genghis Khan to WWI.
Hardcore History is defined by Carlin's attention to personal stories within the larger narrative, focusing on people rather than on lists of battles.
Sometimes, he brings home the reality of living through a particular historical event, like The Battle of the Marne, so well that you want to retreat to some comfort food at the end of an episode.
Led on by that need for comfort food one evening, I decided to deep fry a hot pocket, and it turned out to be not only satisfying, but tastier than I ever expected.
Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Hot Pocket
Directions:
- Thaw Hot Pocket by microwaving for 1 minute or by moving it to the fridge for 4 hours
- Heat deep frier to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
