Cream Cheese and Tuna Stuffed Jalapeños

Hello from the Magic Tavern, follows the long-held podcasting tradition of some guys just goofing off on mic, but adds a whimsical bent. Shortly before the first episode, the host, Arnie, fell through a magical dimensional portal behind a Burger King into the magical land of Foon, and he hosts the weekly podcast from a tavern there, interviewing monsters, wizards and adventurers.

Because Arnie hosts the podcast from a tavern and because everything in Foon seems to be like earth except slightly different, I wanted to come up with a classic bar food recipe with a new twist. I came up with this recipe for cream cheese and tuna stuffed jalapeños.

Makes 4 stuffed jalapeños

  • 1 can chunk light tuna
  • 4 tbs cream cheese
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Celery salt to taste
  • 4 large jalapeños
  • 1 mini cucumbers

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (the grill is also a great option for these)
  2. Drain tuna
  3. Mix tuna, cream cheese, lime juice, and celery salt
  4. Slice jalapeños lengthwise and remove seeds
  5. Julienne mini cucumbers into 1/16th inch matchsticks
  6. Fill jalapeños half way with tuna and cream cheese mixture
  7. Add 4 cucumber sticks to the center of the jalapeños
  8. Fill jalapeños the rest of the way with tuna and cream cheese mixture
  9. Bake on cookie sheet for 10 minutes
